Searching for Lady bugs

Started our day showing two growers the CTAHR Taro Germ plasma collection in Waimanalo. New growers face the challenge in finding suitable lands for farming wetland taro for poi production.
Searching for lady bugs on Katuday leaves
Found more insects at the CTAHR Organic plots on Moringa and koa haole leaves
Released insects at our trial insectary. Trying an artificial food source of raisins based on growers recommendations. Working with Dr. Koon Hui Wang, CTAHR Sustainable Pest Specialist to see if we can utilize lady bugs to manage pest in aquaponic systems.
